Kindergarten visit

Welcome to visit the kindergartens of the City of Oulu! Oulu has 84 early childhood education units, or day care centres.

The visit includes a tour of the nursery, a presentation of the nursery and a visit to the day care centre to observe everyday life and lessons. You can also request a presentation on a specific topic (request in advance). The exact programme and content of the visit will depend on the duration and theme of the visit.

Duration:
- possible 1-6 hours, the most popular is 2-3 hours

Theme:
- Default topic: Finnish early childhood education and care
- Or on request, for example STEAM, outdoor education and sustainability themes, emotional and safety skills

Visits are possible:
- between August and mid-December, and
- between mid-January and mid-June,
- except during the Christmas and Easter holidays and public holidays.

Reservation:
- Visits are only possible with prior reservation. Please send an email (eduoulu (at) ouka.fi) with the proposed date and time, the size of the group and a possible theme request. Please also let us know if your visit will focus specifically on architecture.
- The price is group specific. Fixed price for groups of 1-20 participants depending on the duration of the visit.
- Larger groups are possible for an additional fee. If necessary, we can also split the group into two nurseries.

Available for a separate fee and with advance booking:
- Lunch at the nursery and/or
- coffee/tea and/or
- snacks.
- The price is per person.

Daycare visits are conducted in Finnish or English. The group may be accompanied by an interpreter.
